Calling all ambient guitar fans, this one is for you. The Pennsylvanian band, Heron shares with us a brand new song, “Splashdown” and showcases their instrumental, post-rock style.

The sonic soundscape the band of four creates is breathtaking, perfect music for those moments of reflection. “Splashdown” is a warm and well spaced song that allows each instrument and melody to breathe. From the echoes coming from the guitars to the impact of the percussion, it’s all quite dreamy. The nearly seven and a half minute long song has moments of build up that lead to quietness - it’s all arranged in such a fun and captivating manner.

I recommend listening to this when you’re exploring the surrounding nature because Heron does a solid job at creating the right amount of ambience for those special moments when fresh air and good music makes for a blissful time.
