Audio Dope - So Long
The Swiss musician and producer Audio Dope shares with us his latest single, “So Long” which features a solid combination of 1990s inspired beats, washed away vocal riffs and a dark but incredibly atmosphere that anyone can get lost within.
Opening the nearly three minute long track is a lush, textured synth that is captivating within in seconds. Above this hypnotic pattern are subtle vocal melodies that progress into a memorable hook. There’s a tinge of melancholy in the atmosphere of, “So Long” but it’s that beautiful sadness that gives the song such a deep and personal connection.
Yu Yi is the result of a year of ‘figuring out my sound.’ Aside from the emotional attachment I have for this piece of music it really was a series of trail and errors of finding the right musicians, getting the right tone and producing it to a place that I was happy with it.

Halldór Eldjárn is an Icelandic musician and a programmer. He has collaborated with prominent Icelandic artists Björk and Ólafur Arnalds on music and tools aimed at bringing computer generation in to the artist's creations.
