Ext Sleep - Hemis
Ext Sleep has recently released the track, “Hemis” from the collaborative release, Pluration I. His contribution to the album is unique and instantly hypnotizing, all of the details poured into this track are unlike anything else.
Pluration I features Plasma Rüby & Andrés Grosso, the French composer Oblik Lines and the German artists Rustre, Julian Schäfer and Ext Sleep. Together these artists have crafted a mesmerizing release that finds the sweet spot between ambient-drone and IDM. In specific, Ext Sleep has produced something that is filled with captivating melodies and textures that compliment the surrounding space. I’ve had this song on repeat as the weather in Norway has taken a turn for the worse and somehow, “Hemis” makes everything feel just right.
Yu Yi is the result of a year of ‘figuring out my sound.’ Aside from the emotional attachment I have for this piece of music it really was a series of trail and errors of finding the right musicians, getting the right tone and producing it to a place that I was happy with it.
Enjoy these new hallucinations from no known author; a machined mega-puzzle of miscalculated patterns, automatic failures and lost coffee house betas.

The way the track breathes is quite unique - stopping and going, allowing the piano melodies to find their place. Underneath these melodies is the sounds of the outdoors - birds chirping and a light breeze passing by.
The piano melodies that echo through Andrew Gialanella’s meditative piece, “Drift” are incredibly breathtaking and provide a comforting atmosphere for anyone who listens.
And then there’s the unique way Tourist integrates vocal samples - it’s as if they become an instrument all on their own, floating throughout the track giving another beautiful layer of depth to the already astounding song.
There’s something about the vocal melodies that transports me back to warm summer evenings where there was a care in the world.
This song aims to provide a progressive listen that mimics the wonder of seeing this event for the first time.
The song features a colorful melody that bounces throughout the song and echoes a feeling of hope and inspiration.
Liam J Hennessy’s latest track, “Emerge” is quite the sonic piece as it features multiple layers of well crafted instrumentation that will transport the listener to another time and dimension.
