The multi-instrumentalist and producer Slowburner (Élvio Rodrigues) shares his latest single, “Sunday Joy.” This five and a half minute song focuses on a whimsical piano melody that leaves you feeling as though your floating above the clouds on a rainy day.

Based in Lisbon, Portugal Slowburner crafts neo-classical pieces that have striking elements and melodies, all meant to captivate audiences and bring them closer to his world. Behind the main piano melody, we can hear subtle ambient soundscapes, ones that put you at ease and feel incredibly cozy. Regarding the inspiration behind this piece, Slowburner said, “At the beginning of 2018, during a 10 week period, I challenged myself to finish composing one piano-based song per week, and play it live on Instagram every Sunday morning. Those 10 songs were then re-recorded during 2018 and were released on June 7th 2019, in both CD and digital formats, as a collection of songs named ‘Sunday mornings are for piano’.”
